Welcome to KIN+ILK. In our Café Bars, you can enjoy the finest coffee, wine, craft beer and food. We’ve fully embraced our love of contemporary design to create environments that inspire your work, enhance your relaxation and ensure good times with your friends.
KIN represents the people behind the scenes who make the magic happen and ILK - that’s you, the people who visit us. Click on OUR KIN or OUR ILK you’ll get to see and read about the story and people behind our name.
Our tables are home for your conversations, a place to think things over, laugh and share in each other's company. This is our home we invite you to take a seat at our table. You are our ILK.
We love coffee. Which is why we have worked with our friends at Clifton Coffee to source our own direct trade house roast: Finca El Izoté.
Finca El Izoté is a relatively new farm, founded in 2000 by Saul Reina in the northern region of Chalatenango in El Salvador. A region with great history and success in the cup of excellence competitors over the years and typically a region that delivers unique cup profiles compared with the more commonly known Santa Ana region.
The coffee itself has a balanced sweetness and acidity and is super versatile when roasted. Roast the beans light and they're deliciously sweet with bags of caramel and grape like notes. Push them darker and the caramel turns to molasses whilst those grape characters turn to dark stone fruit flavours like dates.
If music be the food of love - think of us as the DJ's in the kitchen bringing you a mix of delicious yet simple dishes based around honest, wholesome ingredients. We source as locally as possible from suppliers who, often as not, are just like us - people running their own businesses because they love what they do. This includes the freshest of bread from our friends at Pettigrew Bakery, cheese from Caws Cenarth and cakes from Will the Brownie Man at WK Foods.
Our food changes with the seasons so make sure you check out our current menu and for events and private parties, we always tailor the catering to suit your exact requirements.
Events, gatherings, talks, workshops, celebrations, tastings - whatever you call them, it’s always about bringing people together to experience something new, to learn, to share or simply coming together to make new memories.
That’s why we organise our own events for you to enjoy, host other people's events and of course you can hire our space as a place for your events or private parties too.
Below are some of our upcoming events and a film of a recent event held at Pontcanna. Please feel free to suggest others you’d like to see us run, and let us know if you’re interested in hiring our spaces for your events via our contact form.
