Caffeine & Cuisine: KIN+ILK X Old Bank Collaboration

As some of you may already know, we have recently collaborated on an incredibly exciting venture called KIN X OLD BANK. This establishment is a café/restaurant situated in the heart of Dinas Powys on Elm Grove Road. At KIN+ILK, We are consistently on the lookout for fresh prospects to exhibit our services and venues to the residents of Cardiff and its neighbouring areas.

We joined forces with the amazing John to take over The Old Bank, the previous resident restaurant. Our objective was simple: to infuse the essence of KIN+ILK while paying tribute to The Old Bank's charm. Throughout the renovation of our site, we faced various challenges and obstacles, but our excitement grew immensely as we prepared for its grand opening. Now that we've discussed how the idea originated, let's talk about what we have to offer.

We proudly serve the exquisite Finca El Corozo, a coffee that is directly traded through our partnership with Clifton Coffee. After you’ve grabbed a cup of Finca El Corzo you can pick up a bag of beans to brew up some tasty coffee at home.

Now, let's turn our attention to our evening menu. We have collaborated with the incredible Chef Jullian Biggs to create a selection of truly delectable yet simple small plates. Jullian played a significant role in this journey, drawing from his extensive experience as a restaurant owner and former head chef at renowned establishments like Duck Soup in Soho. As summer approaches, we are delighted to introduce our special spritz menu featuring both beloved classics and exciting new additions. To mark this occasion, we have a fantastic deal available: for just £10, you can enjoy a refreshing spritz of your choice alongside a small plate!

During the day, we also offer a few KIN+ILK brunch classics that have become beloved by the locals, including our smashed avocado, pancakes, and KIN club sandwich. Additionally, we have crafted a special weekend brunch menu featuring dishes such as Beef Brisket with salsa verde and pickled onions on Pettigrew sourdough... simply delicious!
