The festive season is here, and we’re thrilled to announce our chosen Christmas charity for this year: Llamau, a cornerstone of support for vulnerable individuals in Cardiff and beyond.
Who Are Llamau?
Llamau is an organisation driven by a powerful mission: to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women in Wales. Their belief is simple yet profound: no one should have to face the fear and uncertainty of homelessness.
Founded in 1986 to provide homeless teenagers with a safe place to stay, Llamau has since supported over 100,000 young people, women, and children facing or experiencing homelessness.
But Llamau doesn’t just offer a roof over someone’s head. They address the root causes of homelessness, treating every individual with empathy, understanding their unique challenges, and empowering them to rebuild their futures.

“At Llamau, we believe that no young person or vulnerable woman should ever have to experience homelessness. We treat everyone who needs our support as an individual. We recognise their unique strengths and needs and make sure that they are supported to rebuild their futures.”
What Does Llamau Offer?
Llamau provides a wide range of critical services to those in need, including:
Supported Housing: Safe homes with both communal and private spaces.
Supported Lodgings: One-to-one support in private homes.
Family Mediation: Helping young people and their families resolve relationship challenges.
Floating Support: Building skills and confidence for independent living.
Education, Employment, and Training: Flexible education programmes for young people aged 16–24.
Gender-Specific Support: Providing tailored care to address the unique challenges faced by women.
Llamau is a values-led organisation, placing the people they support at the heart of everything they do. They go beyond simply providing shelter—they offer hope, stability, and a pathway to brighter futures.
